I'd take anything Luke Smith says with a grain of salt. He's well-spoken and prolific, but watching through his older stuff I always got the sense he was profoundly unwell. Especially his livestreams, which were pretty obviously (if not deliberately) invaded by the /g/ types who harassed him into religious diatribes and political witch-hunts. What would be relatively insightful content is ruined by unrelated digression, to the point that he makes Louis Rossmann appear calm and collected by comparison.
Normally I detest ad-hominem debasement, but Smith has stretched his credibility too thin over too long a period of time.
Thought the general idea was interesting.
Technology being driven by the core folks that are a bit on the fringe, ideologically driven, etc.
