How to create psychedelics' benefits without the 'trip'

It is a sad goal, not only because of the loss of enjoyment, but also because the "trip" is a significant part of what brings the benefits.

The introspective experience of viewing oneself, and one's relation to the rest of the world, from a unique perspective, is a key part of what brings the benefits.

The other, unmentioned, benefit of making a custom version of a common pharmaceutical chemical, is the ability to then patent the result. Thus granting the "inventor" a near permanent exclusive right to the drug.

Which is a sad goal, given that tripping is enjoyable for the vast majority of trippers.
