TinaCMS/Tinasaurus was nearly a perfect fit for a docs project for the editing interface/APIs but the backend license was an implementation blocker. This is awesome to see even if it's a month and a half late for my purposes, and I hope it's still around the next time we're evaluating.

Oh interesting, I was looking into this recently but the license perturbed me a bit. I ended up going with PayloadCMS, which is a YC-backed project.
